The College is no longer operating the smart travel scheme.
Every young person under the age of 22 is now eligible for free bus travel throughout Scotland. If you have not already done so, please complete your application for free travel by visiting https://getyournec.scot/nec/
If you are 22 or over or you turn 22 during your course, you may be eligible for travel assistance to and from college. Please note to be eligible for travel allowance your local address must be more than 2 miles from your main campus of study.
Travel paid as a cash allowance (included within your bursary award) will be capped to the maximum cheapest form of public transport for your route and will be subject to weekly attendance checks. Travel is also mean tested.
